Inside Out 2 (2024)

First impression notes:
- it’s been a long while since I’ve seen inside out, but didn’t joy learn to accept the emotions before and now she is shooting them off — her character feels a bit like it’s back tracked a bit but maybe that’s me I haven’t seen inside out in a while.
- it is cool to see the emotions seamlessly work together in the beginning of the film, I only wish they argued a bit less and worked more as a team like they learned how to do in the first film. ( again from what I remember) — I guess a bit more on this I don’t hate that they are arguing and they certainly get a long a bit more in this film than the first
- There is a long pause in this movie at one point that is jarring but in a good way it was one of the more impressive things in the movie.
- the 2d animation on the dog and pouchy is pretty cool, the kingdom hearts character was cool too nice to see them experiment with animation style a bit, wish it was a lot more stylized.
- the particles on the emotions are great! Like the little particles on them as they shift and move is cool I noticed it in a close up shot and then couldn’t stop seeing it.
- the story is pretty good really nice the stuff with Riley is particularly stellar, I like the emotions story here but the stuff with Riley I feel personally is where the movie shines.
