Shark Tale (2004)

I feel like this movie is off on the third act structure, it feels like we are missing a beat or two which makes it feel like the movie moves quick and also slow at the same time.
the characters feel a bit under devoloped and so moments like angie getting mad at oscar and oscar feeling sad because he hurt her is only based on the fact that he likes her and that is it.
I don't love the license music choices it felt like they didn't fit where they were placed even the one that is about at the car wash feels out of place which is funny because it literally takes place at the car wash. the score has a couple of places where it has cool things that it is doing but mostly it feels pretty bland.
the animation is uncanny valley realm it felt like the animators were really trying to make it good and the studio was like make it look more like WIll Smith.
the horse tripping and hitting himself in the face was practically the funniest thing in the movie but not because it was intentionally because it was such a stupid thing that you could blame the rest of everything that happened in the movie on a sea horse tripping and punching himself in the face with his tail.

- I like the DreamWorks music, it's very pleasant and nice.

- too start, what a weird concept for a movie.
- the opening shot is pretty cool, it's upbeat and fun.
- that seal looked rough.
- um I don't think I understand the joke in the Chinese restaurant.
- also Will Smith as a fish is so weird lol.
- I like that this movie tries to use physical gags along with jokes.
- the chemistry between Angie and Oscar is a bit weird.
- this is why a joke doesn't work and it's cringy and a laugh because it's cringy.
- the close-up on the jellyfish was ew. it's old just weird to see it nowadays.
- you know how many calories are in those shrimps.. a lot. ha!
- I'd eat that shrimp.
- why does Mr. Sikes have this like dead-eye stare lol.
- sexy fish dance. hot.
- punched himself in the face I laughed so hard bro.
- so now his world has been turned completely upside down symbolized literally by the camera movement.
- why does everyone have this dead-eye stare, also they look cross eyed?
- I do like this wide shot on frankie's death.
- I stan crazy Joe and his puppets I want a whole movie just about him and his puppets.
- I like Don Fienberg before he killed someone with his fart lol what a strange sentence to say lol.
- also I thought that was Lenny in the bandanna bonnet lol.
- also this movie has Martain Scorsase doing the cabbage patch.
- so they have the godfather in the shark tale universe?
- okay the slurping on the slushie for way to long and then saying hello got a laugh out of me.
- she ended with here watching the shark slayer making out.
- angie pouring her heart out to oscar feels unearned here also the dialouge feels a bit off here as well, this moment would pack a more def punch had we focused more on it instead of it being a background thing.
- like this is the moment where our character has hit disaster but hasn't reached crisis yet so he should be in those feelings and talking abou those to himself yet we get a montage with some licesne music.
- I do however like that sebastion the whale washing dolphin was supportive of angie and what she said and reassured her by saying it will be okay even if it was a bit cliche nice character moment.
- now we have reached crisis with that phone call about the sitdown.
- now tell me if you nodded your head also made me laugh.
- the spoon on the sharks nose was made me laugh.
- Luca is my fav character hands down but I find people pointing out other peoples jokes very funny so my humor is borken.
- the moment where Oscar admits he lied make sense for the arc that he is going on but doesn't make sense for his character because it feels unearned.
- I like that this track started off with some sweet piano and transition into a godfather esq something.
- THE PUPPETS RETURN!!!
- this moment where Don says were cool feels like a moment that should have been bigger as there has been this ongoing war between the fish and the sharks but we don't really know anything besides they are sharks and they are fish wish we learned more about it. it feels like there are ruminates of this in a previous script.
